Four of fifteen finalist teams in the Modeling The Future Challenge finals are from Stevenson! The Modeling the Future Challenge is a real-world competition for high school students that combines math modeling, data analysis, and risk management. The teams conducted their own research project modeling real-world data. The finalists are in the running for $60,000 in scholarships!
Diana Tang (Jr) and Qi Zhang (Jr) comprised Team Calc with the project topic “Fighting Diabetes: An Analysis of Risk and Solutions to America’s Diabetes Crisis.”
Lillian Wang (Jr), Jaden Chen (Jr), Audrey Hong (Jr), and Aaroh Tak (Jr) comprised Team JALA with the project topic “Risk Analysis of the Causes of Food Deserts.”
Angela Guo (Sr), Aaron Gan (Sr), Vidushi Gupta (Sr), Jeffrey Lu (Sr), and Ethan Zhang (Sr) comprised Team Modeling Megaminds with the project topic “The Math Behind the Mass: An Investigation of Obesity Dynamics.”
Vedant Rathi (Sr), Chinmay Bandapalli (Sr), Krish Chatterjee (Sr), and Aarush Katta (Sr) comprised Team Immortal Man with the project topic “Guardians of the Digital Galaxy: Predictive Modeling for Cyberbullying Prevention.”
