Hello, mathlete, a quick update to share:
This week again, our team won’t be there 😦
Last week we had crowds at our Math Carnival show,
It was joyful, chaotic, with math all aglow!
A big thanks to those who helped make it run,
We’ll share some great photos when we’re next all as one.
… but that meeting’s not set for this week—
No meeting Tuesday, that’s two in a row…. eek!
Take heart, though, for Wednesday is key,
As 100+ mathletes will take the AMC!
The first in a series of tests we all know:
AMC, then AIME, then USAMO!
Good luck, competitors—give it your best!
Watch for Mr. Anderson’s email, he’ll tell you the rest.
Then Thursday we’re off, with our team so bright,
To NSML #2, University of Chicago lab school is the site!
Check Google Classroom for prep and for more,
And see who’s confirmed for the journey in store.
Now here’s a heads up for the weeks to come:
No meeting the 12th – but will it be calm?
No! We host the second AMC on that day!
With 100+ mathletes ready to play!
Then the 19th, at last, we again shall resume,
With an exciting double session to fill the room!
From 3:30 to 4:30, our regular meet,
Then CaLiOT follows – oh what a treat!
We will learn from Caden and Lillian with flair,
A number theory showcase with problems tricky and rare.
The showcase is targeted for borderline AIME qualifiers
To those seeking 12 on the AIME… maybe even higher!
=)
Now dive back into prep for the AMC dream,
Be proud to be part of our amazing MATH … program.
