Now in its fourth year, the Math Circle is an opportunity for middle schoolers in the Stevenson consortium to become involved in the SHS Math Team community. Students will visit Stevenson for two Saturday mornings in April to to learn more about high school competition math. Students will participate in activities ranging from guest speakers, problem sets, and team contests while being mentored by SHS Math Team members, coaches, and alumni. Past guest speakers include Grant Sanderson of the popular YouTube channel 3Blue1Brown and Zuming Feng, coach of the USA IMO team. Space in this program is limited.
When: Saturday, April 8 and Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 9 AM – 12 PM
Where: Stevenson High School, 1 Stevenson Dr, Lincolnshire, IL
Who: Students in grades 6-8 from Stevenson consortium middle schools
Cost: $35 for registration. Also includes a Math Circle T-shirt and two booklets with material and practice problems.
