The math gods smile upon us, for PI day (3/14) falls upon our MATH TEAM meeting day. Accordingly, we will have pony rides!
No, no… that makes no sense.
We will do random maths while eating pie…Yup, let’s do math and eat pie. That makes more sense.
So….
1. if you remember to bring a fork, the green team people will be grateful… though we should have a fork for you.
2. if you bring your own clean plate, the green team folk will be grateful… though we should have a plate for you.
3. if you bring money, we would be grateful, though we will have pie for you either way. =). Suggested donation is $1 / 2 slices. Basically, bring a dollar and get a slice of pie for yourself and one for your buddy. If you don’t have money… you are still welcome to have some pie… until we run out. =)
Other news:
1. By design, 6 of our 8 e-board members are seniors and will be graduating. =(. I miss you already. This also means, there are n positions we would like to fill for our future e-board of MATH TEAM (where 1 < n < 11). e-board members must be rising juniors or seniors that have participated in MATH TEAM historically. Interested applicants are asked to fill out the following form by April 9th.

Over the past 7 years, Stevenson modeling teams have spent over 2,000 hours in practice and competition, eaten over 300 slices of pizza, won nearly $100,000 in scholarship money, and have been featured on NPR, the Chicago Tribune, the Daily Herald, Fox, NBC, and CBS news. Modelers must be rising juniors or seniors that have participated in MATH TEAM historically. With just over half of our modelers being seniors, we are looking for new math modelers! Interested applicants are asked to fill out the following form by March 24th
